**Full participation at States means you competed in several open events, attended multiple legacy launchers and/or workshops, etc.**
Disqualifiers from Competition Eligibility
Q: I didn't attend Regionals, but I did a virtual event or was on a team that qualified, can I go to States?
A: No, you must attend and compete at Regionals to go to States.
Q: I qualified for States, but couldn't attend because of Solo & Ensemble, but I did a virtual event and/or earned all of the Torch Awards, can I go to Nationals?
A: No, you must attend and compete at States to go to Nationals.
Q: I qualified for and went to States, but my parents picked me up so that I could attend a different club, school, or personal activity and brought me back, can I go to Nationals?
A: No, this would be a breach of trust with the Advisor, who would not have approved this, and a violation of Michigan BPA and Huron BPA Guidelines. Members must travel to and from all conferences (RLC/SLC/NLC) with the group and remain for its entirety. If you were to leave at any point without the group, you would be disqualified from future competitions, removed from Huron BPA membership, barred from future membership, and referred to Huron Administration for additional disciplinary action.

- Placed top 6 in any other event
- Completed a good-faith Virtual Event Submission reviewed in advanced by a BPA advisor(for students who competed in their two events and three opens but do not place top 2/top 6)

A student is eligible to attend BPA Nationals if they meet any of the following criteria:
- Placed top 3 in a team event
- Placed top 3 in an individual judged event
- Placed top 6 in an individual non-judged event
- Placed top 6 in a computer event
- Placed top 6 in an open event
- Placed top 10 in a virtual event (for students who do not qualify in any event but fully participated at States)
- Awarded Executive, Diplomat, Statesman, and Ambassador Torch Awards (for students who do not qualify in any event but fully participated at States)

Disqualifiers from Competition Eligibility
- Non-participation in club activities
- Service activities, meetings, study sessions, etc.
- Excessive Class Absences
- More than 6 unverified absences in a single class
- Poor Grades
- Failing one or more classes
- Behavior
- Disrespectful to peers, advisors, and other classroom teachers
- Violations of the Michigan BPA Code of Conduct
- Violations of the Huron BPA Registration Contract
