A: Contact Mr. Cook via email provided in the Huron HS Club List. Mr. Cook will put your email in the BPA email list, and you will be able to receive information on upcoming meetings.
Q: Where can I go to get help?
A: You can first go to a study meeting for any questions regarding your event. You can also contact Mr. Cook or BPA via email for general club-related questions.
Q: How do I prepare for the Regional, State, and National levels of competition?
A: There usually are classes, textbooks, and study websites readily available at Huron. To access textbooks, ask Mr. Cook. The Study Resources page also provides some key resources, so make sure to check! There are Regional tests from previous years, as well as the key, in the Events List page, for you to reference and study from. Try to find a senior member of BPA that took the same event as you, if you have any questions. Finally, as you progress through the levels of competition, the format and relevant knowledge can slightly change depending on the event, so be ready.

A: You can expect to miss a day of school for the competition, as well as a long drive to the competition location. There, you will compete in your event, chill out, eat lunch, and get your medal for your event(hopefully)!

A: Most informatory meetings are mandatory, as there are multiple key information provided in said meetings. However, if you happen to miss a meeting, there will usually be slideshows from the meeting provided via email. Also, the study meetings held throughout the weeks before competition are optional, but highly recommended in order to better prepare for your event. There will be helpful senior members happy to help you through your study!

A: Early events have a component that needs to be pre-submitted before the competition by 4-5 weeks. Usually, this is a paper, resume, or design component. At the actual competition, it will be utilized in some way. Members should make sure to submit these on time! The event WSAP description will specify whether an event is early.

After applying through the Google form provided by email, a voting process will begin, involving every member of BPA. The vote will be a contributing factor into the board election process. There will also be an interview with Mr. Cook and other board members regarding your qualifications. Following the interview, an email will be sent regarding the election results.
