Armaan Kamat

President

The President leads the board and gives direction to other members.  They are the “face” of BPA and represents Huron during the fall, regional, state, and national conference.  The President communicates frequently with the Advisors and the other board members, creates the agendas used during meetings, and sends emails to members and parents regarding meetings, conferences, etc. In addition, they also give final approval for fundraising and bonding events.

Vice President

The Vice President (VP) assists the President in carrying out various tasks and takes the lead whenever the President is unavailable. The VP is also in charge of the Torch Awards Program and submits the resumes for Torch.

Historian | Webmaster

The Historian is responsible for documenting and recording club activities through updating the BPA website, documenting conference results, and preparing press releases for media, the district, and alumni.  The Historian also directs the equipment managers on the Competition Committee and assists in the fundraising process in an advisory role.

Varshini Kashyap

Secretary

The Secretary handles the bulk of the paperwork. They sort the majority of forms that members turn in and keeps track of what is missing. This individual is responsible for completing field trip forms for the Club, and making reservations. Additionally, this officer is responsible for monitoring BPA National and State deadlines, and ensuring they are met.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is the lead director of the fundraising and sponsorship committee. They work with the Advisors to determine the various fees for conferences and keeps track of member dues. In addition, the Treasurer maintains a financial record of BPA’s assets throughout the year.

Digital Media | Parliamentarian

The Digital Media Officer/Parliamentarian is responsible for all photography and videography, documenting and sharing club activities for members, the school, and media. This officer is also responsible for ensuring that parliamentary procedures are followed as necessary for BPA meetings.

Rohan Panjabi (Lead Chair), Brady Grenier, Kaan Lacin, and Vivek Tewari

Social, Fundraising, & Community Service Co-Chairs

This committee works  to generate revenue needed for conferences and financial assistance.  They organize the team fundraisers and locate sponsors starting mid-summer and continue in the school year. They also coordinate chapter bonding events such as the annual end of the year picnic. These positions require speaking and persuasive skills as the directors are representative of Huron BPA in the face of various business owners throughout Ann Arbor.

Savitha Bandaranayake (Lead Chair), Arav Bhojani (Lead Chair), Gina Ko, Peter Schwendeman, and Jerry Yang

Competition Committee Co-Chairs

This  committee is responsible for ensuring the success of Huron BPA in the WSAP competitions during the Regional, State, and National Conferences. They prepare students for presentation and testing events by organizing study sessions and referring competitors to members that have competed in the respective event in the past.
